You’ll find the South Dakota Bicycle Coalition representing South Dakota bicyclists in a note to US DOT Secretary Ray LaHood for his bicycling and walking policy.
The letter including representation from all 50 states and was delivered, by bicycle, on May 28 to Secretary LaHood.

The South Dakota Bicycle Coalition supports the creation of a national network of bicycle routes – the U.S. Bicycle Route Systems. We also support Adventure Cycling Association’s fundraising efforts to connect cyclists across the U.S. through the USBRS.

SB70 Position Paper Published

The South Dakota Bicycle Coalition has published a position paper regarding SB70 the 3ft Passing Bill. All are welcome to read and use the paper to support SB70 or as a tool for futher understanding of the legal use of a bicycle on public roadways.

The SDBC was created by a bunch of avid cyclists around the state. Each member has a specific function that they excel at. We are dedicated to friendly streets, safe routes, healthy communities and the promotion of utilizing the bicycle for everyday activities.
